Region Information for Florida

Florida, the most southerly state of the United States is a peninsula, which acts as a protective arm around the Gulf of Mexico. Its capital is the old-fashioned Tallahassee in the northern “Panhandle”, but its biggest cities are Miami and Orlando.
The state is known as the “Sunshine State” throughout the rest of the U.S., and with good reason too. Sea, sandy beaches, palm trees and huge theme parks dominate the experience, but the cultural and historical heritage of the state should not be dismissed.
Culturally Florida is a blend of different traditions, with influences from many different cultures, such as, Cuba, Haiti, and even Nicaragua. Florida is also very popular with those who have just reached retirement from all over the U.S., balanced with the constant influx of young people tempted by summer work in the sunshine.
One of the main reasons for Florida’s popularity is the fantastic weather. Some areas can boast an average of 350 days of sunshine a year, with temperatures rarely dipping below 20°C. The sudden, heavy rainstorms of the summer are a blessing rather than an irritation, lending a welcome freshness to an otherwise humid air.
Florida’s climate does have a down side however. The hurricane season coincides with the scorching summer months, another good reason for winter being the more popular tourist season. There is a hurricane in Florida on average every two years, but the state is well prepared for such eventualities.
Tourists flock here on holiday for the most obvious reasons, the palm-fringed white beaches, the Keys, the Everglades, the numerous Theme Parks, the atmosphere and the weather.
The Florida Keys are a chain of islands running from the southerly tip of the state into the Gulf of Mexico. We have a massive selection of hotels in The florida keys to suit your budget and style. They are ideal for a relaxed island-hopping holiday.
The Everglades attract those visitors searching for the quieter more peaceful side of this state. Much of the state was once swampland, interspersed with pine forests and scrubland. The Everglades are the largest area of marsh left and are a National Park, offering walking trails, boat tours and camping.
Florida’s multitude of Theme Parks include the fabulous Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens and Cypress Gardens, all worth a visit as each has something different to offer its visitors.
Wherever you choose to go, be sure to pack in as many of Florida’s unforgettable experiences as possible. Try clam chowder or a piece of Key Lime Pie. Watch native white cranes wading along the shore of one of the many lakes dotted throughout the countryside. Or simply go shopping!!

We at Americas4u are confident that we have the hotels in Floida, Villas in Florida and flights to Florida to suit your budget & style.

All in all a great USA holiday location.
